Help

I know I proposed a lot of great things on this field study and for my recently approved honors thesis prospectus, but I have one itsy bitsy problem.

Drafting in the field is difficult.  I mean, really difficult.

Any ideas?  Do I just need to isolate myself and force it out of me?  Or does it need to simmer?

  1. It's true, it's extra hard. But it's like any other time: you need to make time for it, ideally a consistent time each day. Even if you aren't in a real productive or creative frame of mind, you always need to be getting something down.

  2. I can't help you. Sometimes I find myself procrastinating homework from one class by doing homework from another, until I procrastinate that by doing homework from a different class. It is a vicious cycle, but hopefully I will end up with getting all of my homework done.

  3. So true Jay, thank you for the advice. That helps. And Heather, good luck with the procrastination1 Ha

  4. Dear Rachel, here is what I do when I must write a weekly reflection and don't really know what to write or how to write it: I go to a restaurant, preferably one that is not playing loud music. Norling is a good one, and I've spent a lot of time writing at the Bean. Then I order hot lemon or chocolate cake or something and pull out my notebook. I don't leave the restaurant until I've finished, which means I get really bored and annoyed and sometimes hungry again (but in that case I just order more food), but the reflections are always done when I leave.

Hope that helps :) Maybe the massage course will reduce your Om-and-homework-inflicted stress.
